IEP Facilitation: Benefits for Families
Limited Capacity seats available

IEP Facilitation is a collaborative meeting process that uses evidence-based tools and techniques to conduct IEP meetings in a way that encourages positive communication among all team members, builds agreements, and recognizes each party’s concerns. Within this session, participants will be able to: 1) describe elements of a facilitative IEP process; 2) compare IEP facilitation as an intervention versus a prevention strategy, and; 3) discuss the benefits for families in utilizing a facilitative IEP process. Opportunities for small and large group discussion will be provided.
