In the last 5 years, there has been a concerted effort to encourage collaborative engagement between the family and school team. By incorporating Facilitated IEPs, the families become an active part of the child's IEP team rather than an observer. Even when conflict arises, it brings forth collaborative conversations keeping the child's needs in the center of the discussion. The presentation will include discussion of our district's journey as well as specific case study that have proven successful through the Facilitated IEP process.
