Psychological Safety is the foundation of effective partnerships, teams and relationships.  It is defined as a shared belief that a group is safe for interpersonal risk taking.  When present people feel they can make mistakes, try new ideas and be supported to be the best that they can be.  Research supports its value and finds that it is the most important component of engagement.  People are more creative, better at problem solving and can embrace different perspectives.  In this workshop, the presenters will delve into the what we know about psychological safety by reviewing the relevant research and its components.  Most important, they will discuss  how to facilitate this in relationships to maximize engagement.  Throughout this interactive workshop, the presenters will demonstrate techniques and review practices that promote an environment of psychological safety.
